Frommer's Review
Ooloonthoo is probably the best restaurant in Roatán. Canadian chef
Paul James and his Indian wife have done such a good job of giving
this restaurant an authentic Indian coastal feel, you might just think
you're in Goa while dining here. The decor is simple, with little touch
es like background Indian music, silk saris draped across the ceiling, and banana leaves strewn on the tables all adding to the am-I-still-in-Honduras ambience. Curries made from scratch dominate the menu, such as the Rogan Josh or pork vindaloo, while other highlights include Tandoori Cornish game hen and murgh masala, a mild northern Indian chicken dish.

There were lots of good dinner options, but the most remarkable was Ooloontho, a gourmet Indian restaurant run by a Canadian-born chef and his Indian-born wife. We ate dinner there twice and I was knocked off my seat both times by the delicate flavors, the inventiveness, and the quality of the ingredients. I'll never forget the calamari, and I'll never, never, never forget the banana bread-and-butter in a salt caramel sauce! I was in Mumbai in September and while I ate some great food there, Ooloontho beats everything I tasted in India or here in London.

Ooloonthoo is a truly great Indian restaurant -- for anywhere. Even if you don't think of yourself as a major Indian food lover, you will find the meal truly exceptional. The spices were perfectly balanced in each dish and the presentations were spectacular. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone -- especially folks who might otherwise be intimidated by an Indian menu. This small and charming restaurant welcomes the adventurous and helps diners with thoughtful suggestions.

Ooloonthoo - Indian Restaurant -  Tucked back just around the corner from the Argentinian Restaurant in the Half    Moon bay area of West End, this find was a delight!  We had a fantastic meal started off by pappadams and onion bhaji.   Each of us tried different entrees and all were so good and in hearty portions that we took the leftovers back to our rental   house and heated them up for lunch the next day.  The restaurant is owned by a married couple.  The husband is the chef and is Canadian.  He had a restaurant in Toronto before moving down to Roatan.  His wife is from the Goa region of India (I believe that is what she said).  Both were super nice people!  The restaurant is closed on Saturdays.  However, Wednesday   seems to be their biggest night as they make naan bread from scratch then, and have a couple of special entrees.  The     restaurant is small inside so it's to your benefit to call for a reservation.  I just wish we could have gone more often. Definitely a must do if you like Indian food!!  The owners were great hosts.

The only Indian Restaurant in Honduras, and it is true Indian. The food is delicious, it comes from all different regions of India and the service impeccable. One of the owners, Soden, takes care of the serving, while her husband Paul cooks all the food. The restaurant is located in West End and its fairly small, so reservations are recommended.
